Martin Luther King Jr. had a Dream

As we remember and honor a man who had a huge impact on the lives of so many, I thought I would share one of my favorite Martin Luther King quotes and a Martin Luther King resource I developed for students.

Prior to making a decision to return to return to college I kept this quote on my desk for many years…

“Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. you only need a heart full of grace. a soul generated by love.”

Now that I have attained three degrees I still love the quote because it reminds me that grace and love are still the underlying principles of teaching and serving.

Today is our last day before vacation and we just learned that we need to move our office. That means I will be packing up my office today and will then head back to our apartment to pack our car to spend time with family for Christmas (hopefully, ahead of any stormy weather). This post is a bit short in terms of written content, but I hope you agree it is strong in terms of visual content. Take time to pause, reflect, and smile as you take a rest from your packing, baking, and celebrating! Enjoy!
