Wow, it feels great to get back on track after spending several days researching, designing, writing, and presenting a new workshop…Literacy Across the Curriculum.

I’ll no doubt share more about the workshop later, but for now it’s time for a little light-hearted fun (after all it is the weekend)!  If you have been reading my blog for a while, you have probably gathered that I enjoy photo generators and image manipulation.  I’m pleased to share a recent find…Tuxpi.

This great little site features 29 photo effects and tools that will make your pictures lively and eye-catching.   All photo tools on this site are browser based, very simple to use and can be combined with each other to create even more interesting images.  Take some time to explore, play, and share these generators with your students as you help them build media and digital imaging resources that can be embedded in writing and presentation projects.  You can view some of the playful effects as you look at my gallery of samples below:
