Sometimes you get an idea for a post that takes you way beyond the concept you planned to research. I had no idea there were so many math worksheet generators available! I selected my favorite six generator sites and attempted to graph the various math functions that were available. Please refer to the chart toward the bottom of this post to compare functions and quickly determine whether a generator has the math function you are seeking.

superkids SuperKids Math Worksheets – this site offers an impressive number of generators. Click on a category to go to a new page with detailed information about various generators that vary in terms of difficulty and features. Print your answer sheets at the same time you print your worksheets for best results.

softschoolsSoftschools.com – this site offers an astounding number of generators that feature numerous options for difficulty, number of problems, etc. I would suggest you use the .pdf option when you print your worksheets (this option is not available with every generator, by the way). Remember to print the answer sheets when you print your worksheets.

homeschoolmathHome School Math – this site includes generators and worksheets in a somewhat blended fashion. Some generators/worksheets are also available in Spanish.

mathfactcafeMath Fact Cafe – access numerous generators and worksheets. The generators available on this site were slightly confusing initially, but do offer an interesting and convenient email feature. “Email Me Daily allows you to receive your fact sheet on a daily basis. For each selected day, you will automatically receive an email which will include an Internet link to re-generate your fact sheet. The daily fact sheet will contain all your customized settings, but will contain a new set of “shuffled” fact sheet problems (so each day’s problems are completely different). The site also features a basic graph paper generator that could be used for math problems and the online flashcards could serve as an motivating alternative for students who need to practice their math skills.

worksheetworksWorksheet Works.com – these worksheet generators are intuitive, produce excellent and engaging worksheets, and are very diverse in scope. This is an excellent site to reference for math as well as other subjects. Do not miss this generator site!

lessoncornerLesson Corner.com – the interface of these math generators was engaging and intuitive. Generating different worksheets is as simple as clicking a button.

I did not chart this site since much of the site requires a paid membership, however the free options are excellent…

mathworksheetsiteMath Worksheet Site.com – “you can create an endless supply of printable math worksheets. The intuitive interface gives you the ability to easily customize each worksheet to target your student’s specific needs. Every worksheet is created when you request it, so they are different every time.” Worksheets are provided in PDF format or printable web pages.

During my research I also found some excellent sites that do not include worksheet generators, but they do include numerous worksheets that can be printed to build math skills.

  • Math-drills.com – this site houses 6,000 worksheets with answer keys. Many of the worksheets are also holiday-oriented. The site is laid out in an easy to navigate manner and worksheets are very professional in appearance.
  • Teachnology – this site offers a number of free worksheets that you can print, as well as generators with a paid membership.
  • Math.com – although this site was not included as one of my top choices it does includes free generators as well as worksheets and online practice opportunities.
