Feel free to share your favorite finds of the week using the comment link found at the bottom of this post. Once again, in no particular order, I have listed my favorite top 10 sites of the week below…
- The World of Brian P. Cleary – Diana Dell, a Missouri University classmate (from a while back) twitter-shared this marvelous interactive online site that includes games, word of the week, poem of the week, and much more. Students will love this fun-to-explore site and so will you!
- Is There Anything Cuter Than This? – baby animal photos posted to the Desicolours blog will melt your heart even if you are not an animal lover.
Schmoop – “Shmoop wants to make you a better lover (of literature, history, poetry and writing). See many sides to the argument. Find your writing groove. Understand how lit and history are relevant today. We want to show your brain a good time.” Search through the various entries that focus on US history, literature, poetry, and books to stimulate new ideas for lesson plans or to consider new ways of thinking about a subject or piece of literature. Warning…you will spend hours at this site once you start to read the entries! - In Pictures – computer tutorials based on pictures, not words…Good stuff!
- 100 Ways to Show Children You Care – I wish I had found this video when I wrote my 100th posting…enjoy!
- Forty-One Interesting Ways* to use your Interactive Whiteboard in the Classroom (* and Tips) – a marvelous resource posted as a Shared slideshow on Google
- Empowering Inspiring Video Message – a video you might be able to show colleagues or students at the beginning of next year (I know…summer has hardly begun!)
- 30+ Places To Find Creative Commons Media – Sean P. Aune blogged this terrific list of resources on SitePoint back in April…I didn’t learn about it until this week…a marvelous resource…thanks Sean!
- Eight Great Interactive Sites that let you Paint like a Famous Artist – a great post I found on Karen Bosch’s “Great Tech-spectations!” blog. Thanks, Karen!
ReadPrint – free online library for students, teachers, and the classic enthusiast. Over 8,000 books by 3,500 famous authors at your fingertips!

Thank you for taking time to write. Your blog has been in my reader for a while. Both my parents were artists, so I found your paint like an artist blog entry particularly interesting.
