July 3 – Top 10
Friday, July 03rd, 2009 | Author: Jen

I find that I look forward to writing my Friday post now that my Top 10 posts have become a tradition of sorts. It’s fun looking back through the links and videos I encountered during the week while reading articles, performing searches, tweeting, and reading through the blogs in my reader. I hope you enjoy my weekly finds as much as I do! Feel free to share your favorite finds of the week using the comment link found at the bottom of this post. Once again, in no particular order, I have listed my favorite top 10 sites of the week below…

  1. The Three Stages of an Idea – this is a great blog post written By Rajesh Setty. I especially liked the visual included in the post.
  2. Twitter for Busy People – generally speaking, I am not a huge fan of Twitter apps, but I have to say I really enjoy using this one!
  3. Hi-def Video of Hummingbird Photos & Slow Motion Clips – I have had a real fascination for hummingbirds lately, now that I get so much activity at the feeder just a few feet from where I sit while working on the computer. I enjoyed the following video by Russ Thompson, as I know what a challenge it is to capture images of these fast little hummers.
  4. NECC 2009 – the conference is over, but there are still wonderful resources to read, watch, and download on the site: Colleague Blogs, Presenter Handouts, Opening Keynote, and additional Resources.
  5. Edupics.com - “This site provides free educational photos, color pictures and crafts. Everything is placed in categories that are used frequently in primary school. New material is added to the collection regularly.”
  6. The Original Human TETRIS Performance by Guillaume Reymond – TETRIS played by real human-beings sitting in an auditorium…
  7. aldoAldo Connect the Dots Generator – upload a photo to create a connect the dots masterpiece
  8. FileHeroFile Hero.com – “Your destination for downloading, converting, and viewing videos from popular media sites.”
  9. blipperBlippr – “an easy way to discover, talk about, and organize great apps, books, games, movies, and music.”
  10. Project Look Sharp – “a Media Literacy initiative of Ithaca College to provide materials, training and support for the effective integration of media literacy with critical thinking into classroom curricula at all education levels.”
