Generate some fascinating images to use as rewards or start to develop some new material for next year using the absolutely astounding multitude of resources found at the Sign Generator site. Be prepared to spend some time at this site! The choices are seemingly endless. I did have a little trouble centering the text on my images…it takes some finesse. Hint: In the advance image mode click on the image after you have input text in the form…keep clicking until the placement of your text suits you. Also, although you could print the image from your computer, I would suggest that you right-click and save your image to your computer…then insert the image in a Word or PowerPoint document…that way you can resize the image. I have posted a few samples below to give you some ideas, but I know you will come up with some even better samples that you can share with students as you say good-bye or use to ready your room for next year. Oh, and one more thing…there is also an option that allow you to upload and refine your own images (for example…you could upload a photograph of your school sign or photographs of your students).

Thank you for sharing. I had students do similar activities by accessing an account like this on their own. Then, they saved the file and inserted it into their wikispace (or embedded it depending) imagechef is a great one for students to interact with and embed code for the images they create. I’ve shared my experiences at: http://yoursmarticles.blogspot.com/2009/04/wiki-lesson-for-literature-circles.html
